5 Things That Surprise A Californian When They Move To Twin

We have a lot of friends from California that move to Twin Falls. Ever wonder what would go through the mind of a Californian that has to deal with the realities of what it's like to be here everyday? Here's our best guess.

5. What's with all the cheese?

Between Glanbia and Jerome Cheese Company, yes there is a lot of cheese here. In fact, you have to try and not get cheese on food in Twin. And, if you choose to go cheese-less, you will get a dirty look.

4. How come traffic is the same here as LA?

So no one warned you about our intersections, did they? That's right. If you have lived with crazy California traffic for the past few years, you will feel right at home in Twin Falls.

3. What's with all the wind, dude?

Ever looked at the Southern Idaho wind speed maps? Notice all those crooked numbers near our part of the state? That's because living in Twin Falls is like building your house inside of a jet engine preparing for take off. And, it hasn't even started to get good yet.

2. Your waterfalls are kinda drier than I thought they'd be

Blame this one on the dams. Yes, there are only certain times of the year when Shoshone Falls resembles its greatness of the past. But, we promise that it will eventually get going. In the meantime, enjoy the birds.

1. Do you know some dude just jumped off your bridge?

This is totally normal, my California friend. We have a bridge. People jump off of it. It's cool. More often than not, all is well and they land safely below.
