5-Year-Old Rupert Boy Drowns In Snake River

Cassia County officials say a 5-year-old Rupert boy has drowned in the Snake River at Burley.  The sheriff’s office tells The Times-News that Jose Angel Salinas was playing on the boat docks at the Burley Golf Course Marina when he slipped into the water Sunday afternoon, unnoticed by his parents. Parents and bystanders who searched for the boy found him in the river 20 minutes later. He was pronounced dead at around six that evening at the Cassia Regional Medical Center.
