BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A 94-year-old southwest Idaho motorist police say knocked down a light post and left the scene has been cited with driving too fast for the conditions.

The Idaho Statesman reports  that Robert Halliday of Eagle received the citation after a person identified him following reports of the one-car crash on Monday.

The Ada County Sheriff's Office says it's investigating allegations of not reporting damage and leaving the scene.
