Police Officers go above and beyond everyday to ensure that complete strangers are safe. After a deadly crash in Brigton, Colorado, Nick Struck with the Colorado Police Department found himself comforting a toddler soaked in gasoline.

He said when he was handed the toddler, his fatherly instincts kicked in. He couldn't get the little girl to stop crying so he began to sing "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star".

At that moment a witness took a photo. That image whipped through online social networks, rendering Struck a heartfelt hero. And rightly so.

The toddler was able to calm down with Nick's help while her parents were removed from the car crash. Two adults and four children were thrown from the car during the accident. The girl's father was declared dead at the scene, according to police. The mother and all four children were transported to area hospitals.

The little girl from the photo, and her sister were released from the hospital, but another baby and her 4-year-old brother are still in bad shape.
