Access to Silver City Closed

HOMEDALE, Idaho (KTVB) - As the Soda Fire expanded to nearly 220,000 acres on Thursday, more areas were being affected.

Firefighters are making good progress, and they are encouraging folks to stay away from Silver City. Upper Reynolds Creek Road and the Jump Creek recreational site are closed. Silver City is also closed, according to Owyhee County. Homeowners are being allowed in, but all others are asked to stay away. All access roads to Silver City are closed, including Silver City Road, Cow Creek Road, and Trout Creek Road.
