We had a healthy amount of rain in the Magic Valley this year. But, is the drought officially over? According to a map shared by the National Weather Service in Boise, it is.

This drought map comparison was shared on the NWS in Boise's Facebook page yesterday.

In October of 2015, the Magic Valley was in the area listed somewhere in between abnormally dry and moderate drought. According to this graphic, we're in much better shape now.

This also seems to be confirmed by the Drought Monitor website, too.

Now, if we can just have a healthy amount of snow this winter, maybe next spring will be a good one for farmers. I did say "maybe".
