The moment 'Girls' star Adam Driver's name began flying around 'Star Wars 7' rumors and confirmations, fans of Lena Dunham's HBO dramedy have wondered if we'd see a significantly reduced presence for the muscular oddball actor in season 4. Now that Driver's 'Star Wars' casting has been made official, HBO sources assure that Hannah and Adam will still be together in season 4

Via Buzzfeed, Driver will reportedly maintain his regular status with the controversial HBO dramedy, and had in fact already been observed filming in New York opposite Dunham, looking far more amicable than season 3 finale "Two Plane Rides" left us to believe. An HBO spokesperson claims Driver “is still a part of this show,” and will work out scheduling between 'Girls' season 4 and the as-yet-untitled 'Star Wars: Episode VII,' which begins shooting in London in May.

Elsewhere, we know of 'Girls' season 4 that production will likely return to the 10-episode format over season 3's elevation to 12, while series star Andrew Rannells will enter season 4 promoted to series regular. Showrunner Jenni Konner also confirmed that we’d see Hannah undertaking the Iowa writers’ graduate school program that became a focus of the season 3 finale, despite the fact that the actual Iowa university denied Dunham the opportunity to film there. Additionally, young filmmaker Desiree Akhavan and actor Peter Mark Kendall have been given recurring roles as fellow students in the Iowa writing program.

We still might imagine at least something of a reduced presence for Driver in season 4, considering the character's acting career similarly began to reflect a flourish that might take him out of Hannah's reach, but in the meantime, what do you think? Are you relieved to have Adam Driver pulling double duty with 'Girls' season 4 and 'Star Wars?' What do you hope to see from the fourth season of HBO's hit dramedy?
