TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) – ‘Tis the season to uncover your off-road vehicles and hit the trails.

But don’t do it without first checking out the Magic Mountain OHV Safety Fair on Saturday, June 11. The three-hour classes meet the requirements for all unlicensed operators, according to the Twin Falls County Sheriff’s Office, one of the sponsors of the event. The other sponsors are Magic Valley Safe Kids and Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation.

In class you will learn how to pre-inspect your machine, proper starting and stopping, quick turns, hill riding, emergency stopping and swerving, riding over obstacles, what protective gear is best, and the state’s riding laws, rules and regulations, as well as places to ride and clubs to join.

The free classes, designed for dirt bike, ATV and OHV users, are scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to noon; 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and 2:30 to 6 p.m. For more information or to register, visit this Parks and Rec page.
