TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX)- Enjoy it while you can this spring, Auger Falls Park is set to close for the summer. Twin Falls Parks and Recreation Director Dennis Bowyer says a major construction project is set to begin through the park.

Plans to create wetlands in the park have been in the works for nearly six years. They include a pipeline to the park that will carry treated waste water from the city's waste water treatment plant. Bowyer says the down side is that the pipe line will run under the only roadway into the park. Crews will have to close access to the road.

Bowyer says city council will have to approve the bid which is on the agenda for Monday's council meeting. The construction could start sometime in May, which is when the park will close for about a year.
