Michelle MacLaren in Talks to Direct ‘Wonder Woman’ Movie
In what is probably the best rumor of the week already, WB has apparently got their collective studio eyes on Michelle MacLaren to direct their upcoming 'Wonder Woman' movie. MacLaren is best known for her work on television, where she's directed some of the most riveting episodes of 'Breaking Bad' and 'Game of Thrones,' so she knows a thing or two about action and what makes for a compelling, complex character.
‘Batman vs. Superman’ Will Show the Death of Batman’s Parents, Which You Are Totally Not Tired of Seeing
It's just not a movie featuring Bruce Wayne/Batman unless you have the death of Bruce Wayne's parents, thus explaining his mopey origins, is it? Zack Snyder would agree, and so would some new set photos from 'Batman vs. Superman,' which confirm that we will see Thomas and Martha Wayne shot to death yet again, just in case you're not sick of seeing that happen. Seriously? Again? Again-again-again?
Australian Batman Uses Street-Legal Batmobile to Bring Joy to Sick Kids
First there was Chibatman, the Batman impersonator who rides around Japan on a replica of the Batpod from 'The Dark Knight.' Now there's Australian Batman Zac Mihajlovic, who rides around in a customized Batmobile built to replicate the one from Tim Burton's 1989 'Batman' film -- but this isn't just any Batmobile replica or any Batman impersonator. This vehicle is perfectly street-legal, and this Batman uses his persona to spread cheer to sick kids.
Matt Damon Confirms Return to ‘Bourne’ Franchise, New Film Arrives in 2016
As we reported back in September, Universal has been planning a new 'Bourne' film with Paul Greengrass returning to the director's chair and Matt Damon returning to the role of Jason Bourne. The thing is, we hadn't heard anything official from Damon himself ... until now. The actor finally broke his silence in a recent interview to confirm his return to the 'Bourne' franchise.
‘Suicide Squad’ Eyes Jared Leto to Play The Joker
A few weeks back, we heard that Ryan Gosling went in to meet about a possible role in WB's 'Suicide Squad' film, but it wasn't clear which role that might have been, as details about which characters might be featured in the movie are still a mystery. According to the latest report, Jared Leto is now up for that role -- and that role could very well be The Joker, Batman's longtime nemesis.
Update: ‘Toy Story 4′ Is Officially Happening, Gets a 2017 Release Date
Even though we were told, once upon a time, that Disney and Pixar had no plans for 'Toy Story 4,' it seems that those plans have changed. After a series of short films that kept us up to date with the adventures of Woody and Buzz Lightyear and friends, Disney CEO Bob Iger has just announced that we'll finally be getting a 'Toy Story 4' after all, and it has an official release date and everything.
Freddy Krueger Is Responsible for Mark Hamill’s Casting in ‘Star Wars’
It's hard to imagine Luke Skywalker being played by anyone but Mark Hamill in the original 'Star Wars' trilogy, but it very well could have happened. And according to 'Nightmare on Elm Street' icon Robert Englund, better known to audiences as Freddy Krueger, it might not have happened at all had he not once told a teenage boy about the part after coming home from a failed 'Star Wars' audition himself.
‘The Hateful Eight’ Eyes Channing Tatum for Major Role
The cast of Quentin Tarantino's 'The Hateful Eight' is shaping up to be one of the most exciting ensemble casts in quite some time, and now it's looking to add one of the biggest leading men to the roster: Channing Tatum is being eyed for a leading role in Tarantino's upcoming western, and word is that the role is pretty major.
‘Black Panther’ Star Chadwick Boseman Talks His Amazing New Role
At last week's big Marvel event, there were lots of things to be excited about, but the two biggest revelations were undoubtedly 'Captain Marvel' and 'Black Panther,' with the studio giving us a solo female superhero film and a film featuring a black superhero -- the latter to be played by Chadwick Boseman, who will hit the screen in 'Captain America: Civil War.' Boseman has been laying low since, but now he's making the rounds and speaking out about his recent casting. And although it's still years away, he promises that we haven't seen anything like what Marvel has in store with 'Black Panther.'
‘Minions’ Trailer: The ‘Despicable Me’ Sidekicks Search for a New Master
The first full trailer for 'Minions' has arrived, highlighting the little yellow, gibberish-speaking sidekicks from 'Despicable Me,' who are getting their very own prequel/origin story. Set 42 years B.G. (Before Gru), the lovable little yellow goofballs are on a quest to find their next master after a series of mishaps throughout the years has left them without a leader.
’50 Shades of Grey’ Won’t Feature Any Male Nudity, So Who Is This Movie For Anyway?
One of the great celebratory moments of 2014 was seeing Ben Affleck nude in 'Gone Girl' (and a little bit of Neil Patrick Harris too, if you were paying attention). It's not as if us women are male-nudity-starved, craven maniacs just salivating for a glimpse of wang or something, but with all the rampant female nudity and objectification that permeates pop culture, it's nice to see a little equality. So it's disheartening to hear that Jamie Dornan will not be appearing fully nude in '50 Shades of Grey,' as if that movie needed another reason to be avoided.
‘Avengers 2′ Will Feature Appearances from Heimdall and Loki
Just a little while after we reported the awesome news that Tom Hiddleston's Loki will be featured prominently in both 'Thor: Ragnarok' and both parts of 'Avengers: Infinity War,' we have another 'Avengers' and 'Thor'-related bit of news for you: Idris Elba has confirmed that not only will he be making an appearance in 'Avengers: Age of Ultron,' but so will the mischief-making Loki.
‘Star Wars: Episode 7′ Ends Production, Read the Note From J.J. Abrams to the Cast and Crew
'Star Wars: Episode 7' may not hit theaters for a little over another year, but production has already wrapped on the project. It'll still be a long road of editing and post-production, and it may be hard to believe that they're already done filming, but we have the evidence in the form of a special note that director J.J. Abrams and the producers sent out to the cast and crew, and you can read it for yourself.
Loki Will Return for ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ and ‘Avengers: Infinity War’
When last we saw Tom Hiddleston's Loki in 'Thor: The Dark World,' he was disguised as Odin and sitting on Asgard's throne. It seemed fairly certain that we'd see our favorite god of mischief again. And now Marvel's Kevin Feige has confirmed that Loki isn't just appearing in 'Thor: Ragnarok,' but that he'll play a pretty big role in both parts of 'Avengers: Infinity War.' Let the mischief begin!
‘Fast and Furious 7′ Trailer: Just When You Thought It Couldn’t Get Any Better
Here we go! After being teased in seven-second increments earlier this week, we have the first full, official trailer for the newly-titled 'Furious 7,' which wastes absolutely no time getting right into the bonkers action, with a car being parachute-dropped onto the road during one of the crew's missions, and Paul Walker's Brian being rescued from a harrowing episode on the edge of a cliff by Michelle Rodriguez. And that's only a fraction of what we see in this trailer.
‘Wonder Woman’ Solo Film Takes Place Before ‘Justice League,’ Trilogy Plans Revealed
So here's some pretty exciting news on top of the already exciting news that Wonder Woman is getting her very own solo film from DC and Warner Bros. A new report reveals plans that Wonder Woman's first solo outing will be set in a time period before the 'Justice League' film -- actually, it'll be set long, long before then. Not only that, but there are ultimately plans for three 'Wonder Woman' films. Three! Your move, Marvel.
‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’ Review: “Edward Mordrake, Part 2″
The first few episodes of 'Freak Show' have largely placed the lesser-known supporting characters on the periphery, perhaps to the show's detriment, as the Curiosities in Fraulein Elsa's Cabinet appear to offer much of interest. The ghastly Edward Mordrake gets it, as does Elsa, on some level; if only the people of Jupiter, Florida would give them a chance, they would see it -- how compelling and relatable they truly are. Every bit as deserving at a chance in the spotlight as Kathy Bates' Ethel or Sarah Paulson's Dot and Bette. "Edward Mordrake, Part 2" begins by giving at least a couple of them a chance to shine. It's not much, but it's a step in the right direction.

Those who tuned into the newest episode of Marvel's 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' tonight were rewarded with a little treat: brand new footage from 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' to go with that pretty sweet trailer that dropped just last week.

‘Avengers 2′ Trailer: A Terrifying Ultron Assembles
Seems like the internet just couldn't wait for that 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' trailer to premiere. Just last night, Marvel announced that the trailer would debut following next week's new episode of 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,' and tonight a pirated version found its way online. Marvel reacted quickly by posting the real deal and revealing a new teaser poster.
