Authorities Seek Public’s Help Locating Driver with Possible Weapons

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) – The Twin Falls County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help locating the driver of a speeding car who ran from deputies after an incident on Wednesday evening.

It is believed the man may have multiple weapons in his possession, including a hand grenade.

While on a routine patrol at 7:22 p.m. Wednesday, a sheriff’s deputy witnessed a vehicle speed through a 25 mph zone going about 60 mph.

As the deputy followed the speeding vehicle – a 2001 silver Pontiac Grand Am –  it entered a field and crashed through a fence on Rose Street near Borah Avenue. Both occupants exited the vehicle and ran from the scene. Deputies and Twin Falls Police officers searched the area, but did not locate the individuals.

The driver, who is familiar to the deputy, is identified as 37-year-old Buhl resident Daniel C .Bounds, also known as “Pete.” The identity of his passenger, a female, is unknown at this time.

Bounds is believed to be in possession of multiple firearms and a hand grenade, according to the sheriff’s office.
