SUN VALLEY, Idaho (IME)-A sizable avalanche slid down Lookout Bowl on Bald Mountain Sunday. Ski patrol Assistant Director Mike Davis said the snow-slide was “a natural release.”

Davis said it was rather large and it ran the full length of the bowl into Broadway run. Davis told the Idaho Mountain Express nobody was hurt. The run is currently closed to skiers, but the resort says the scheduled opening date is Dec. 15.

Davis said the ski patrol is “doing avalanche control” in preparation of opening the bowls.
