I’ve heard some great renditions of our national anthem.  I’m still stirred when I hear great versions of God Bless America and children singing My Country Tis of Thee.  Few efforts though gave me the same emotional response as a version of the Star Spangled Banner as performed last week at a New York Met’s game.  Violinist Itzhak Perlman is a Met’s fan.  I’ll excuse his taste in baseball because while listening to his performance I had chills, tears and a sense of pride.  You can read about his effort and hear it at this link.
