KTVB-TV reports that 58 year old Arthur Schafer was found dead in Elmore County  on Tuesday.  It appears he was killed by an accidental gunshot wound.  An Idaho Fish and Game officer reported seeing Schafer's vehicle on Saturday.  Another person called three days later, on Tuesday, to report the same vehicle in the same location.  Schafer's body was found at about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in an area known as Bread Winner Creek on the Middle Fork of the Boise River.  His body was about 30 feet from his car. The last time anyone heard from Schafer was Thursday, July 7.  He left town last Thursday to go fishing.  Schafer went on his fishing trip alone.  Police say he had no known mental or medical conditions, and to their knowledge, he was in good health.
