CANYON COUNTY, Idaho (KTVB) -- The body of a man missing in the Snake River since Tuesday has now been recovered.

A spokesperson with the Canyon County Sheriff's Office says they found 22-year-old Cody Dossett's body about three-quarters of a mile downstream from the Guffey Bridge, where he originally went missing. Dossett was reportedly hanging out with friends at Celebration Park on August 4, when he attempted to swim across the Snake River and did not make it.

Dossett's mother, Melanie, tells KTVB her son was under the influence of alcohol at the time. Crews found his body at 9 p.m. on Friday, three days after Dosset was first reported missing.
