BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A Boise boat builder has left town, leaving behind unfinished boats, complaints and lawsuits.

The Idaho Statesman reports Bohnenkamp's Whitewater Customs and its owner have been sued multiple times by unhappy customers and companies looking to collect on unpaid bills. Four people have filed formal complaints with the Idaho attorney general this year. Multiple customers told the Statesman that they have talked with the FBI.

Now, Christopher Bohnenkamp is working on a new endeavor: a boat tour company, Niagara Jet Adventures, in Niagara County, N.Y. His lawyer, Mia Murphy in Meridian, said Bohnenkamp's company unexpectedly ran out of money. But the attorney says the company is working to make good on his customers' purchases.
