BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Authorities in Boise say a man who had set up a meeting he believed to be with a teenage girl he met online fatally shot himself when police conducting an undercover child sex sting moved in.

Ada County Sheriff's Department spokeswoman Andrea Dearden says law enforcement officers fired no shots on Wednesday. Dearden says the department and Internet Crimes Against Children conducted the joint investigation. Authorities say the man fired one shot before police could make an arrest. The man's name hasn't been released.
