BOISE (KTVB) - A 20-year-old Boise woman is facing felony charges after police say she threatened an retail store employee who was trying to stop her from leaving with stolen goods.

Sierra Moon Maynard tried to leave the shop, located in the 8300 block of West Overland Road, with merchandise she hadn’t paid for Sunday evening, employees told police.

When confronted, Maynard pulled a stun gun out of her purse and threatened to “taze” the employee with it, police said.

Police say the woman then activated the stun gun and attempted to shock the worker with it, before fleeing the store.

Responding officers arrested Maynard after finding her hiding in a nearby parking lot. She was booked into the Ada County Jail, and has been charged with felony burglary and felony use of a conducted energy device in the commission of a felony.
