Burley Baby in Critical Condition after Found Not Breathing

Burley, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) - Cassia County Sheriff Deputies were called to a home at 1419 Conant Avenue in Burley just before noon this Tuesday morning on the report that a baby was not breathing.

At first a neighbor mistakenly reported it as a drowning, but Sheriff Jay Heward said the baby was found not breathing in a crib. The 7 month old was transported to the Cassia Regional Medical center and later by life flight to Primary Children’s Medical Center in Salt Lake City Utah.

The hospital reports the baby is in critical condition. Names are not being released and the Cassia County Sheriff’s Office is conducting an ongoing investigation into the incident.
