BURLEY, Idaho (AP) — A south-central Idaho man police say fractured the eye socket of a 3-month-old infant has been charged with felony injury to a child. The Times-News in Twin Falls reports in a story on Tuesday that 36-year-old Clayton Craig Garro of Burley is being held on $75,000 bail. Authorities say police responded to the Cassia Regional Medical Center on March 9 after the mother took the girl to the hospital because of bruising.

The mother told detectives that Garro had been sleeping on her couch in exchange for watching the baby while she worked. Police say Garro told police he used meth, marijuana and took a pain pill on March 7, and told various stories about how the child was injured. The child has been taken into protective custody.
