Bail has been set at $500,000 for a 24-year-old Burley man charged with second-degree murder in the shooting death of a man whose body was found in a pickup during a traffic stop last weekend. Michael Jared Thompson was charged Monday in the death of 21-year-old Michael Kenneth Blair, also of Burley.  Minidoka County prosecutors allege Blair was shot in the head during an argument with Thompson as the two men and two women were traveling home from a bar early Saturday. Prosecutor Lance Stevenson says Thompson was driving the pickup when the shot was fired. When officers pulled the vehicle over a short time later, a woman who was covered in blood was driving. She has been charged with DUI.  Court records say Thompson and the other female were not at the scene when the pickup was stopped.
