(KLIX)-The retail development center on the canyon rim is a go in Twin Falls. In a lengthy city council meeting council members heard testimony from concerned citizens, the developers and city staff. The council had three items dealing with the Canyon Park West development that would have three commercial lots. Now, developers met with residents in the area during a mediation period to talk about some concerns. At the hearing a number of people spoke against the project, others supported it. One of the major concerns is how the proposed building sits close to the canyon edge. Mayor Greg Lanting voted against the PUD agreement, Rebecca Mills-Sojka voted no on all three agenda items related to the project.
