CASSIA COUNTY -- An arrest warrant has been issued for a man wanted for first-degree murder at a Burley motel earlier this year. The body of 54-year-old Russ Taft was found in crawl space at the Alpine Garden Motel on May 18, 2012. The coroner determined that Taft died from blunt force trauma and a stab wound to the heart. The two men worked at the motel. The Cassia County Sheriff's Office has identified 53-year-old James Ambrose as a suspect. A warrant charging him with first-degree murder and a weapons enhancement was issued Thursday. The judge determined that there is no bond for this warrant. Authorities say Ambrose was last seen in Las Vegas, Nevada around May 7. He is currently wanted in Nevada for kidnapping, robbery, burglary, battery and grand larceny. Ambrose also has a current Cassia County warrant for his arrest for grand theft. Anyone with information about Ambrose's whereabouts is urged to contact the Cassia County Sheriff’s Office at 208-878-2252 or Crime Stoppers at 208-878-2900. via KTVB.COM
