CASTLEFORD, Idaho (AP) — A Twin Falls County woman is charged with aggravated assault after her family said she argued with her 21-year-old daughter and then fired a rifle at her. The Times-News reports  40-year-old Charlene Kay Davis was arrested Sunday night and arraigned Monday in Twin Falls County Court.

Her preliminary hearing is set for Nov. 29. Brian Davis told investigators that his wife had been drinking during a family dinner and began arguing with her daughter, Danielle Clark. Charging documents say other family members intervened after the women started punching each other in the face and that Clark went outside.

Brian Davis said his wife grabbed a rifle, walked outside and fired a shot. Clark says she found her mother hiding under a snowmobile trailer and that she fired the rifle at her.
