JEROME, Idaho (KLIX) Four cars were part of a pileup in Jerome County on Highway 93 Friday evening that sent several people to the hospital.

According to Idaho State Police three cars were waiting for turning traffic on the highway at around 9 p.m. when Tristan Kaneaster, 18, of Gooding, failed to stop for them. Police say the teen's 2001 Dodge Ram pickup rear-ended one of the cars forcing it into another. A juvenile girl driving one of the cars had to be pulled from the wreckage.

Kaneaster and one other driver had not been wearing their seat belts. The crash closed the highway down for about two hours forcing traffic to divert around the area on county roads. ISP says charges are pending in this accident.
