College of Southern Idaho's Jerome Center is hosting a child and babysitting safety class for kids ages 11-16.

Babysitting can be a great way for your teenagers to make some extra money this summer.  This upcoming class at CSI will help give them some tools to get started.

This training covers the fundamentals of caring for children of different age groups, safety, injury prevention, and keeping kids entertained and engaged.

Special attention is given to “babysitting as a business,” including leadership, preparation techniques, and communicating with parents.

The class fee includes course book, 2-year certification card, and first aid kit.

There's a class coming up in June and another in July and are limited to 10 students. To register, contact CSI's Community Education Center or call 208-324-5101
