Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) An  intense  scene Saturday when a boy was rescued by quick thinking civilians following an accident at Pillar Falls.

A 9-year-old boy got his foot lodged between rocks after being swept into the water above Pillar Falls. The current was reportedly forcing the adolescent's face underwater. Three people recreating in the area rushed to the scene and attempted to hold the boy up so he could breathe. He was said to be fading in and out of consciousness.

The Twin Falls County Sheriff's Office received the call at 5 in the afternoon. Along with their help and the assistance of search and rescue, Magic Valley paramedics, the fire department, and multiple civilians, the young boy was rescued. The boy was transported to St. Luke's Magic Valley.
