The Twin Falls City Council will continue the conversation on a proposed city budget for the coming fiscal year at its regular meeting tonight.  And members of the community are urged to tell the council what they think.  There are actually three proposals the council is considering.  One would leave the city tax rate where it is, one would raise it about one percent and the third would raise the city tax rate about 2.4-percent.  The money raised from any increase in the tax rate would be used for road maintenance which city officials say is falling short of the demand.  The cap on the budget has been set at $42.6-million dollars.  That amount cannot be increased at this stage but it can go down.  The public hearing on the budget will be held at 6 o’clock this evening in the Twin Falls City Council chambers.
