(KLIX)-The city of Twin Falls took a check for $150,000 from the non-profit organization Business Plus. It will be used to fund infrastructure projects associated with the Chobani Plant. Its made up of Magic Valley investors aimed at encouraging local business growth. It is completely privately funded by banks, manufactures, gas stations and many other businesses. A number of Chobani company officials were on hand at the check presentation at the College of Southern Idaho Tuesday.Company head Hamdi Ulukaya told the group that construction on the plant is going better than expected. He claims the plant is the fastest build ever at roughly a million square feet and at a cost of more than $300 million. Ulukaya said that they’ve created a sort of comfort zone that has attracted other businesses to the Magic Valley. Ulukaya says they expect to have the plant done in the later part of this year.
