Twin Falls city officials say the city recycling program implemented at the first of the year is going great so far.  And statistics seem to confirm that.  City residents participating in the recycling program who signed up for RecycleBank, recycled about six times as much by weight in February 2011 than they did in February of last year.  About a third of the city residents have signed up for the recycling program.  Officials say that for February the program diverted 230 tons of waste from the local landfill.  Instead, that material is being compressed and shipped to a recycling center in California.  To sign up for the recycling program and be eligible for coupons from area businesses, contact Twin Falls City Hall.
