TWIN FALLS, Idaho – The city of Twin Falls would like to form a citizen advisory committee to explore the feasibility of developing a community recreation center.

The city is seeking volunteers to join the committee.

Residents living within the city limits are encouraged to apply for the ad hoc committee and residents living within the area of impact will also be considered for appointment by the Twin Falls City Council.

The committee is expected to serve for two years and will help lead the following initiatives: conducting feasibility studies for a recreation center; searching for qualified architectural design services; reviewing recreation center concept options; establishing amenity priorities, reviewing and identifying potential locations for the center; recruiting community partners; as well as identifying and securing funding options for a recreation center.

If you’re interested in serving on the committee, which will meet once a month, you’ll need to submit a letter of interest by Friday, June 23, to Twin Falls Parks and Recreation Director Wendy Davis at wdavis@tfid.org or Attn: Recreation Center Committee, P.O. Box 1907, Twin Falls, Idaho 83303.
