The ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ will have some major company later on this year when ‘Agent Carter’ comes to ABC, but what other tantalizing secrets does the Marvel TV panel at Comic-Con 2014 hold? Find out with our full Ballroom 20 account of the 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ and ‘Agent Carter panels, along with a few Marvel-ous surprises!

  • Onstage for the panel were showrunners Michelle Fazekas and Tara Butters, writers Chrisopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, Marvel's Louis D’Esposito and of course, Hayley Atwell, with Jeph Loeb moderating. Interesting fact! Hayley Atwell will double her total MCU screentime by only the pilot episode of ‘Agent Carter.’

  • The new series will open in 1946, after the war, and Cap’s freezing. An awesome newsreel teases Peggy getting involved with the SSR, the rise of “Zodiac,” and that Howard Stark and Stark Inudstries are under investigation as traitors.

  • The Russo brothers ('Captain America: The Winter Soldier') will direct the second and third episodes, while ‘Captain America’ director Joe Johnston is in talks to direct the fourth.

  • They couldn’t tell us any of their names, but Michelle and Tara promise that there will be other strong female characters, possibly “both good and bad.”

  • Will Dominic Cooper return as Howard Stark? "That would be fantastic if that could happen,” says Jeph Loeb.

  • Onto ‘Agents of S.H.IE.L.D.!’ Joining us are Jed Whedon, Maurissa Tancharoen and the cast. Clark Gregg gets a standing ovation as Coulson, while Brett Dalton is rocking both a Hydra tee, and a serious bad guy beard. Looks like Ward will be in rough shape, considering they only started shooting yesterday!

  • Lucy Lawless is confirmed as a veteran S.H.I.E.L.D. agent named Isabel Hartley. Nick Blood will join as comic STRIKE character Lance Hart, here portrayed as a mercenary, while ‘Dollhouse’ star and Whedon favorite Reed Diamond will play Daniel Whitehall (Secret Wars’ Kraken) as a Hydra baddie!

  • Chloe Bennet believes we’ll see a different side of Skye this year, having had her heart broken the first time around, and evolved more as an agent of the new S.H.I.E.L.D.

  • We didn’t’ get to see any new footage, though Patton Oswalt showed up in a pre-taped segment as both “Billy” and “Sam” Koenig to talk about the lanyards, also teasing the arrival of Marvel character Mockingbird!

  • A Ward redemption wouldn’t be easy, but Chloe Bennet quips "He's just really hot as a Hydra agent, isn't he?" Adds Clark Gregg, “maybe if he brought Fitz a monkey.”

Well, what say you? Are you excited for 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' season 2 and 'Agent Carter,' by all we've learned from the Comic-Con 2014 panel? Tell us what you want to see from the new seasons in the comments!
