Commentary: Will Iran Cheat? Are Pat Buchanan and the Pope Catholic?

Now that President Obama has an agreement with Iran both his former Defense Secretary and CIA Director call a mistake then what next?  Leon Panetta and David Petraeus both believe Iran will cheat on any promise made to Obama.  A great many not only on the right but on the political left fear the President has been duped or is clearly naïve and, yet.  One very important voice on the right doesn’t appear concerned.  Check out former Presidential candidate and columnist Pat Buchanan sparring with Sean Hannity right here.

Buchanan’s fellow conservatives are throwing the man a beating and for 25 years have called him an enemy of Israel and the Jewish people because clearly he puts America first.  What I think people are missing is something Buchanan tells Hannity.  “The United States could finish off Iran in an afternoon,” Buchanan pointedly exclaims.

Yes, he’s right.  A President Buchanan would finish off Iran in an afternoon.  A President Buchanan wouldn’t have needed nuclear negotiations.  Like his former boss, Ronald Reagan, Buchanan would cause great bladder control troubles for the mad mullahs.  Problem on our side is President Obama doesn’t quite command the same respect.  Advantage Iran.
