Crane Accident At St. Lukes

It actually looked worse than it was and thankfully no one was hurt yesterday when a crane truck working at the new St. Luke’s Medical Center in northwest Twin Falls tipped up into the air with one tire still on the ground.  There were two people in the bucket of the truck-mounted crane when the accident happened.  Another man was on the ground operating the crane.  The crane truck actually tipped over leaving it with only the right-front tire still on the ground.  Workers were installing a building-mounted sign at the time.  There was some damage to the building but so far there are no estimates as to the amount of that damage.  An investigation is being carried out to see just exactly what happened.
