CSI Falters At Opening Game In Hutch

The College of Southern Idaho men’s basketball team will not get a chance to defend the NJCAA national championship that it won last year. The Golden Eagles fell in the opening round of the national tournament in Hutchinson, Kansas, on Tuesday.  CSI was the 4th ranked team in the country when it was upset by the 8th ranked Eastern Oklahoma, 76-69. The Golden Eagles knocked down just 13 of 25 free throws compared to 29 of 38 for Eastern Oklahoma. The Golden Eagles play Three Rivers Thursday at 9 a.m. in a loser-out game.
