TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) – October is the last month you’ll be able to watch the film "Sea Monsters" presented on the domed theater at the College of Southern Idaho’s Faulkner Planetarium.

The film, a National Geographic production that depicts the life of an extinct aquatic animal in the age of dinosaurs, was first shown at the planetarium in November 2013 and was the first IMAX large-format film to run in the theater.

“Audiences are amazed by how realistic the imagery is as they are transported back in time and plunged headlong into the Cretaceous seas,” Planetarium Manager Rick Greenawald said. “Audiences have continued to enjoy this epic adventure. The show has also been a very popular choice of teachers coming to the Herrett Center with their classes for field trips.

“We want to give people one last month to experience the movie again. It just happens to coincide with a season of other kinds of spooky monsters for Halloween.”

Sea Monsters can be seen in October at 8 p.m. Fridays and 2:30 p.m. Saturdays. For more information, visit the Herrett Center for Arts and Science or call 732-6655.
