News broke earlier today when Governor Otter vetoed a bill that would have banned Idaho's approximately 250 so-called "historic horse racing" or instant racing electronic gambling machines from Idaho establishments.

One such establishment is Les Bois Park in Boise, operated by Treasure Valley Racing. Journalist Betsy Z. Russel for the Spokesman noted "The seven principals in Treasure Valley Racing, current operator of Les Bois Park near Boise, gave $72,200 to Otter’s campaigns..."

But the Couer d'Alene Tribe, who introduced bill SB 1011 to ban these machines, only donated $20,000 in the same time period.

Clement Leroy, you've got some 'splainin to do.
