SHOSHONE, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) A Dietrich minor will be arraigned in court on Friday on felony charges of forcible penetration.The minor is being tried as an adult following an incident about Oct. 22, where a coat hanger was allegedly inserted into the anal canal against the will of the alleged victim, according to court documents.

The defendant will be arraigned in District Court Friday at 9 a.m. at the Lincoln County Courthouse in Shoshone before Judge Mark A. Ingram. On March 4, the probable cause affidavit was sealed to “preserve the defendant’s rights to a fair trial,” the court documents said. The Idaho Attorney General’s office said charges have been filed against three teens in Dietrich.

The other two minor’s cases have been sealed. Idaho Statute 20-508 states that juveniles 14-18 years old, who commit serious crimes – outlined in the statute – will be tried as adults. KMVT is following this story and will post more information as it becomes available.
