Do You Take A Sick Day If Your Pet Isn’t Feeling Well [POLL]

This week I went to visit a friend who had moved into a new house and he mentioned that he had taken a sick day. I stepped back and asked him what he had (because if he was puking I was going to leave) and he told me the craziest thing. He said he was fine. He took the day off because his dog wasn't feeling well.

I understand that some people treat their pets like children, but this guy's dog is a big lab that stays outside all the time. I honestly had to ask him if he really needed to take the day off or if he just wanted to use the dog as an excuse to skip work.

He told me (much to my surprise) that he really wanted to be with his dog while it was sick! My dog is pretty awesome but I think my wife would be angry if I told her I was going to take a day off to baby the dog.
