CANYON COUNTY, Idaho (KLIX) Woman was killed after missing stop sign and crashing into semi-trailer near Lake Lowell Sunday.

According to Idaho State Police the woman who died was identified as Maria Lopez, 26, of Caldwell. Police say she was driving a mini-van when she failed to stop at a stop sign at around 4:45 p.m. just east of Marsing.

The van hit the trailer being bulled by a semi-truck. The truck driver was not injured in the crash. A passenger and one juvenile were taken by air ambulance to a Treasure Valley hospital.

Three other juveniles in the van were taken by ground ambulance. Police say they are not sure if several of the juveniles had been wearing seat belts. The roadway was closed for four and a half hours. The crash is still under investigation by Idaho State Police.
