IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) — Bonneville County officials say a 20-year-old man was arrested after deputies say he took a swing at an officer who helped rescue him from the Snake River in Idaho Falls. Officials say Michael Condor of Idaho Falls jumped into the river Tuesday evening and began to struggle and tumble in some drift wood.

Deputies were able to throw him a rescue rope and retrieve him from the water. Deputies say while they were talking with Condor, he took a swing at one of the officers. He was then arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor assault on an officer and a felony probation violation. He was then taken to the hospital.
