TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) – An elderly woman was hit by a truck this morning in a Twin Falls neighborhood.

The call came in at 10:54 a.m. in Meander Point subdivision, according to Lori Stewart, spokeswoman for the Twin Falls County Sheriff's Office.

The victim is 89-year-old Twin Falls resident Lila Chidichimo, who was hit as a mail carrier was backing up her vehicle at a slow speed.

Chidichimo was transported by ground to St. Luke’s Magic Valley Medical Center, and then by air ambulance to St. Alphonsus in Boise with life-threatening injuries.
