The state's premiere motorsport's national championship, the Pepsi Nightfire Nationals will return this August even bigger and better than any year previous.
Literally the Who's Who in the sport of drag racing have been a part of what is recognized as Firebird's "Signature Event". The featured stars include: AA/Fuel Dragsters, AA/Funny Cars, and the West Coast Outlaw Pro Modified Association presented by Larry Miller Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge Ram. In addition, the excitement of the Stagecoach wheelstander and Jets will light-up the night-time mega event, too.
The Saturday Night Thunder is one of the biggest nights of the entire season where all the Pro Stars compete in their final qualifying attempts. The Prime Time Finals on Sunday evening will culminate the 4-day & night race. In addition, hundreds of racers battle in the National Dragster Bracketeer Challenge presented by Meridian Automotive & Machine offering a combined purse topping $170,000. Idaho's News Channel 7 will present Friday Family Night during the Nightfire, which will take place on August 9th.
