Additional Information

Twin Falls County will be celebrating Arbor Day on Friday, April 26 at 11a at Rock Creek RV Park, Jean Turnbaugh Pavilion.  The event will start with the reading of the Arbor Day Proclamation by the Board of County Commissioners.  Following the reading, they will plant four trees that have been containerized.  County Tree Advisory committee members, parks employees, and Arborists will give a demonstration on bare-rooting containerized trees and correctly planting them.  A free lunch will be served afterwards.  There will be free tree selection calendars (donations accepted), educational material, and bare root linden trees to be raffled, and have the opportunity to chat with an ISA Certified Arborist.  The public is invited to attend.  Celebrating Arbor Day is one of the requirements of Twin Falls County keeping its Tree City USA stats.  Twin Falls County is only one of two counties in Idaho that has this designation.
