Additional Information

Got a good aim with your throwing arm? Then the spring fundraiser from the College of Southern Idaho’s Renewable Energy Club is just what you’re looking for. The first ever Huck-n-Chuck tournament will run all day at two CSI locations on Saturday, May 4.

Kip Morris, program advisor and instructor, says the event begins with a disc golf tournament from 8 a.m. to noon at the disc golf course on the east side of the CSI campus near Frontier Field Drive. This will be an open-registration, two-person best disc scramble with prizes for longest drive and closest to the pin.

Meanwhile, at the CSI Wind Energy facility located at 496 Madrona Street (just east of Harmon Park), a no host barbecue lunch will begin at 11 a.m. At that location, the horseshoe tournament will begin at 2 p.m. It is also an open enrollment, two-person, double elimination tournament.

Cash prizes totaling $125 will be awarded for first, $50 for second, and $25 for third places as well as for the special events. The pre-registration fee is $20 for each event or $30 for both. Pre-registration will go until May 1 and can be done at the CSI Matrix in the Taylor building, Student Services in the Student Union, or the Outdoor Program at the Rec Center. The registration fee the day of the fundraiser will be $25 per event or $40 for both. For more information, contact Kip Morris at 541-805-5220 or at kmorris@csi.edu.
