Safety Fest of the Great Northwest will be offered for a fourth year in the Magic Valley with free safety and short-term business training to employers and the community.  The conference is scheduled Tuesday, March 26 - Friday, March 29 at the College of Southern Idaho campus in Twin Falls. Anticipated enrollment in the Safety and Business Fest 2013 will be more than 700 individuals.

Hosted by the College of Southern Idaho, CSI Community Education Center, Idaho Small Business Development Center Region IV/CSI, URS Corporation, Idaho Department of Transportation, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Safety and Business Fest 2013 includes more than 50 classes in topics about methods to reduce hazards presently causing fatalities, injuries, illness, and loss of business. Anyone who wishes to improve the safety performance of their business is invited to attend, including large and small contractors, people in both construction and general industry and professional technical educators.

Pre-registration is open until March 12 and can be found at http://safetyfest.csi.edu. Registration will also be taken during the event, and check-in will begin at 7:30 am each day. All event classes are free and have been underwritten in part by area businesses and sponsors, including SOS Staffing, MSHA, Heavy Equipment School of Idaho, BC Sales Co., Inc., Franklin Building Supply, Idaho Star Motorcycle Safety Program, & Tessenderlo Kerley, Inc.

The event also includes a vendor trade show on Wednesday, March 27, from 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Thursday, March 28 from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.. Event participants are encouraged to visit with the vendors and enter to win prizes sponsored by the vendors.
