Additional Information

The College of Southern Idaho’s North Side Community Education
Center is offering the non-credit enrichment courses, Introduction to Woodworking and Advanced
Woodworking, taught by Bill Perry at the Gooding High School Vo-tech building in Gooding. Introduction
to Woodworking is scheduled Tuesdays, September 4-November 6 and Advanced Woodworking is scheduled Wednesdays, September 5-November 7. Both classes are from 6:30-9:30 pm.

In Introduction to Woodworking, Perry will inspire students with his passion as he teaches them about
different woods, basic design, proper measurement and purchasing, power tool and hand tool safety
and operation procedures of power equipment. All students will complete individual projects during the
course and women are encouraged to register.

Advanced Woodworking provides students an opportunity to continue learning from the introduction
course. Perry will continue instruction in woodworking, emphasizing operation procedures and safety of
equipment, while students learn to make beautiful and artistic projects.

The cost to register in either section of the woodworking courses is $115, plus an initial supply fee of
$10 payable to the instructor the first night of class. Project materials will be available for purchase
during the course.

Students may register for either course by calling (208) 934-8678.
