TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX)- The City of Filer will keep a police officer that shot and killed a dog. The Times News is reporting that the city council decided that Officer Tarek Hassani will stay on paid administrative leave until he receives more training. On February 8th Officer Hassani responded to a call involving dogs when he shot and killed Rick Clubb's Labrador. The incident was caught on dash-cam video and sparked outraged in Filer and across the nation.
