[UPDATE: 07-17-13] The Horse Butte 2 fire continues to burn 25 miles Southwest of Castleford. BLM officials say it has charred up to 5,800 acres of BLM land. There are 10 engines, 2 dozers, 2 water tenders, 1 helicopter
on scene, 3 engines en route.

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX)- Lightening sparked a fire Southwest of Castleford late Tuesday afternoon. According to Bureau of Land Management Fire Information Officer Josh Olson, says the  Horse Butte 2 fire has so far charred 2,500 acres of land 25 miles from the small community.

It has mainly burned grass and brush. Four engines, one dozer, and one helicopter is working on the blaze at this time. Two more engines and a water tender is headed to the scene. No structures are threatened at this time. Containment is expected by Thursday in the evening and full control is planned for Saturday evening.
