JEROME, Id. (KMVT/KSVT) – Fire ripped through a Jerome County home Tuesday afternoon.

Both Jerome rural and city fire crews responded to the call for help around 1:20 p.m. The home, at 100 North and 89 West, will more than likely be considered a total loss officials at the fire scene said.

When crews arrived, heavy smoke could be seen billowing around a wood stove chimney, according to Jerome County Sheriff Chief Deputy Jack Johnson.

No injuries were reported at the fire scene. It has not been determined what caused the fire to start, as officials continue to investigate.
